Arlene Sloan
North Bay Architecture principal, Arlene Sloan,
is a licensed architect with a Masters Degree and a Bachelors
Degree in Architecture from the University of California
at Berkeley. She has 25 years of work experience as an architect
in a broad range of residential, commercial, and hospitality
projects, including all phases of project design, production
and project management. While at the university, she studied
intensively with Christopher Alexander, including explorations
that led to his publication of his books on ‘The
Nature of Order’. She also specialized in passive
solar design. She has been a key designer and project architect
for several Bay Area architecture firms. Arlene Sloan loves
revealing and unfolding the unique characteristics of the
site, the client’s dream and program, and the context.
She has a particular interest in helping people design their
dream homes and being environmentally conscious.
