New 3 story administration building and bus maintenance facility for Central Contra Costa Transit Authority in Concord, CA. Includes an 18,000 s.f. office building, bus wash facility and a 45,000 s.f. bus maintenance building. The client’s desire to use pre-engineered metal buildings systems for the two industrial structures for budget reasons presented a design challenge to create an architectural ensemble that would appear interesting, integrated and aesthetically pleasing from the elevated perspective of the freeway. Received a City of Concord Design Award in recognition of superior achievement in a public facility.
