‘We had never built before, so we wanted help with the architectural design. We took a file filled with photos, magazine layouts, articles, ideas, and odds-and-ends to Arlene. She looked through the conglomeration of stuff and helped us identify what it was we liked in the patterns and designs.

She was very good at asking insightful questions, and carefully listening to us. Arlene would ask about use of space, how we entertain and so forth. Her first drawing was 90% dead-on to what we were thinking. With a few alterations and fine-tuning, we were very satisfied.

A few years later we sold the house and moved to another state, and built the same house again! Why give up a design we were so happy with? We contacted Arlene again to help us reorient the garage, and we enlarged the total square footage. We had to do everything over the phone, and again, Arlene's listening skills made it possible.
